Lana Del Rey “Tropico” Summer 2013

7-3-13 | This was one of the best summers of my life; I was 23 years old and got the opportunity to work on one of my first music videos - assisting key hairstylist Anna Cofone on the set of Lana Del Rey’s short film “Tropico” being directed by Anthony Mandler.

I got the call right before the job and didn’t have much time to prepare. Pretty much standard protocol for this industry…you gotta be ready at any moment! 

This ended up being a long three day film shoot, but every ounce of sweat, blood, and tears was worth it! I learned a lifelong of lessons in those three days, and still feel honored to have gotten the chance to work alongside such season talent. 

Unfortunately, when “Tropico” premiered at the famous ArcLight Theatres in Hollywood, I was less than a mile away working on set of a commercial with Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato and could not make it to the premiere. I cannot complain though! I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I am so grateful for every opportunity that has come my way along this journey, and I thank every single person that has believed in me. This is a summer I will never forget.
